Privacy Policy

Axific is built and operated by AX Digital (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data Axific collects, why, and how it’s handled — including data accessed through connected Google accounts. We’re an Australian business and this policy is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What Axific is, right now

Axific is an internal AX Digital tool, currently in active development and validation. It crawls website content, compares it against real search-demand and competitor data, and surfaces gaps and opportunities. It is not yet offered as a public, self-serve product.

Data we collect

Data from connected Google accounts

Where a Google account is connected via OAuth, Axific may access, depending on what’s connected:

• Google Search Console performance data (queries, clicks, impressions, positions)
• Google Analytics (GA4) reporting data
• Google Business Profile information, reviews, and posts
• Google Tag Manager container configuration

At present Axific primarily reads this data to power its reporting and audit features. A small number of connections request permissions that would also allow writing changes (for example, replying to a review or publishing a post) — these broader capabilities are reserved for planned features that are not active yet, and no changes are made on your behalf without that feature being explicitly built and enabled.

Axific’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Website and crawl data

When you ask Axific to analyse a site, it crawls that site’s public pages and stores the content, structure, and link graph needed to produce its reports.

Account data

Basic account information (name, email) needed to sign in and use the tool, and a signed session cookie used purely to keep you logged in — it doesn’t track you across other sites.

Third parties we share data with

To do its job, Axific sends limited data to a small number of service providers:

• Google — to retrieve the connected data described above, via Google’s own APIs.
• Anthropic (Claude) — keyword, content, and competitor data is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate content briefs, clustering, and written recommendations.
• DataForSEO — used to retrieve keyword, ranking, and backlink data for the sites being analysed.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it beyond what’s needed to provide these features.

Where data is stored, and for how long

Data is stored in AX Digital’s own database, hosted in the cloud. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Some of the third parties above (including Anthropic) may process data on servers outside Australia. Data is retained for as long as your account/connection is active, and deleted or anonymised on request or on disconnection, whichever applies.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details below. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect data, including encrypting stored access tokens and using signed, tamper-evident session cookies. No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Axific changes. Material changes will update the “Last updated” date above.
